Program Director

Linda Pedersen is a seasoned nonprofit executive with more than twenty years experience as an Executive Director in the sector. During her career, she has been instrumental in the establishment, and building, of a year round school for the visual arts. In addition, she headed up the National Association for Women in the Arts, the oldest organization of women artists in the United States and located in New York City.

Her other Executive Director positions have been for Winchester Tomorrow in Massachusetts, and as Director of Development for Community Rowing in Boston, and as Executive Director for Somerset Art Association in New Jersey. Over the years, she has raised several million dollars for nonprofits, and has developed core programming to implement the mission of the organization.

Pedersen is now working with Beating Cancer in Heels in the areas of program development and fundraising. She brings to the table extensive hands-on experience in all the key areas of nonprofit management.

Currently, she is the head of her own consulting business, and is a certified New York University life coach. She will be working with the design and establishment of all programs for Beating Cancer in Heels, with particular emphasis on the Life Coaching program. Her personalized services are available in a one on one coaching program for cancer survivors.

I addition to many years of nonprofit management, she brings to the table a deep sense of understanding and empathy for the challenges faced by an individual when life surprises you with unexpected and unknown challenges. Although not dealing with cancer, she has dealt with life changing circumstance after an accident……
